The Golden Nugget has been around since 1946 & has been arguably the most popular casino on Fremont Street ever since. Steve Wynn purchased the casino in 1977 & from there went on to open the Mirage, & more recently - the Wynn. The Golden Nugget under the current ownership remains a fixture on Fremont Street and boasts that it has received AAA's Four-Diamond Award for 30 consecutive years.
