The pretty brown shingled Church in the Wildwood is located on the main street of the lovely little Mountain town of Green Mountain falls, west of Colorado Springs. Originally a Congregational Church it became united Church of Christ with the merger of that denomination with the Evangelical and Reformed Church.

It is rumoured that this church was the inspiration for Dr. William S. Pitts' well known hymn, Come to the Church in the Wildwood, but in truth the song was written in 1857, based on a location near Nashua, Iowa. But the line "Little Brown Church in the Vale" fits this church also.
