Despite its scenic location, and the rareness of an asymmetrical truss bridge (one support is angled; the other is not), the Pennsylvania Historic Commission does not consider this bridge to be historic and worthy of preservation.

Metered parking is available on East Washington Street. You could probably park in the Double-R parking lot or the parking lot of the Salvation Army, across from the Statue of Liberty replica. The bridge is small; you can walk across. The best views are from the PA 108 bridge across the creek and the newly developed Riverwalk Park.
