In February 1906, W.K. Kellogg founded the Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company to market and produce his recently developed toasted corn flake cereal in the emerging breakfast foods market. The company changed its named to the Kellogg Company in 1922 and experienced rapid growth as they continued to market the vastly popular corn flakes and expand thier product line.
Today, the Kellogg Company, still based in Battle Creek, Michigan, is the world's leading producer of cereal with sales in excess of $11 billion (U.S.). It's products are manufactured in 17 countries and marketed in more than 180 countries around the world.
