The Sea Lion is a replica of a late 16th century British three-masted sailing ship that apparently offered tours of Lake Chautauqua. It was commissioned in 1985 and funded by many residents and businesses of the area. The ship was sold in 1992 and was moved to Barcelona, NY. It was then towed in the water to Buffalo where it sank in Lake Erie in 1999. The ship was raised in 2000 and towed back to Barcelona where it is now on display in the harbor.

A plaque at the base of the anchor reads: "'Sea Lion' Anchor: In honor of the many volunteers who breathed life into the dream."
