The hike to Grotto Falls is a relatively easy hike, although boots or sturdy shoes are strongly recommended. The Falls plunge 25 feet into a shallow pool and the fall off again in a series of cascades. Visitors can walk behind the falls or cool their feet in the pool, however don't expect to be the only visitor. The trail to Grotto Falls is off of the Roaring Fork Motor trail located just outside Gatlinburg, so this hike is popular and may be crowded.
Parking coordinates are from Stop #5 trailhead off Roaring Fork Motor Trail. Hike distance to the falls is 1.2 miles with 500+ ft elevation climb.
