Mount Misery Cross is just one of a number of granite crosses that marks one of the routes walked by the of the Monks on the
ancient track that links the Buckfast Abbey with those at Tavistock and Buckland.

High on open moorland. The area is said to have got its name from the harsh weather conditions on this hill.
