A few days ago, (May 25, 2007) veterans, mostly of World War II, sat under white tents, chatting with family members, reporters and passers-by about their recollections of the service. The event was organized by the nonprofit N.C. Veterans Freedom Park Foundation, which oversees the park off North Harrison Avenue.
You just HAVE to go to this site to see this wonderful Memorial Day slide show which commemorates this event. You can also read about it in Cary's online newspaper.
