Royston Nave, born in La Grange, painted in Fort Worth before moving briefly to New York, where his paintings were classified with the Eclectics. He was described as a ‘rapid painter,’ painting landscapes, seascapes, still life, portraits, and Texas Wildflowers in oil. He married cattle heiress Emma McFaddin after her divorce from James McCan, another artist. The building is currently the Nave Museum, showcasing both Royston Nave’s works and temporary exhibitions.
Hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 1pm-5pm. Admission is $2.
