This is the put-in we generally use when we float the Cache river, a class I scenic float through "The Big Woods" where the ivory bill woodpecker has been sighted. You'll need your GPSr more for finding your way around in the swampy side channels than you will to reach the access just off the highway 260 bridge over the river.
This is moving water but it's almost as easy to go upstream as down most of the year.
Parking/put-in/launching information: ample parking available
Paddling conditions to be expected: combination of slow moving water in the main channel and small lakes in side channels. Use caution when the water is moving swifty since it can and does flow through the trees.
Difficulty of the trip: Basic ability to paddle and recognoize water channels.
Length of trip: 6 miles along the main channel to the listed TO but varies depending on path chosen.
Portages: none required if you remain in the main channel.
Permits required: fishing permit if fishing.
Type of trip: You can return to your starting point if you don't mind paddling against a light current or you can use a number of other access points as takeouts.
 Take-out Coordinates: N 35° 09.123 W 091° 17.308
Other information: There isn't much dry land to stop on for a picnic but one of the best I've personally located is at ~n35 09.395 w91 16.700
