Construction of Taylor's new 23rd District Courthouse began in March 2005. At a cost of $6.5 million, the new two-story, 33,500 square foot facility, provides ample space to accomodate the increased caseload as well as the technology to address security concerns that did not exist when the old court was built 20 years ago. Court personnel began moving into the new building in August 2005.
