St. Mary Magdalen in the Bail, is an ancient church. The original was destroyed by Bishop Remigius to make room for the minster and a new church was erected about 1294. That building was damaged in the seige of 1643 and was rebuilt in 1695 and again in 1882. It seats 230 and the register dates from 1665. -
