[FR] Le Dompeter est une petite église située sur la commune de Avolsheim près de Molsheim en Alsace.
Réputée être la plus vieille église d'Alsace, on sait qu'elle a été consacrée par le pape alsacien Léon IX entre 1049 et 1053 alors que la légende la ferait remonter à la fin de l'empire romain ou aux premiers siècles de la chrétienté.
[ENG] Dompeter is a small church located on the commune of Avolsheim close to Molsheim in Alsace. Considered to be the oldest church of Alsace, it is known that it was devoted by the Alsatian pope Leon IX between 1049 and 1053 whereas the legend would make it go at the end of the Roman empire or the first centuries of Christendom.
