Der Ennert ist ein ans Siebengebirge angrenzender, bewaldeter Höhenzug bei Bonn-Beuel. Er gilt als Naherholungsgebiet und ist mit Wanderwegen durchzogen. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten des Ennerts zählt das Foveaux-Häuschen, ein halboffenes, historisches Aussichtshäuschen.

Es wurde um 1820 von Heinrich Josef Foveaux aus Köln als Aussichtspunkt und Rastmöglichkeit für Wanderer errichtet. Es liegt mitten im Wald auf etwa 150 m ü. NHN oberhalb von Bonn-Beuel, und früher hatte man hier tatsächlich einen schönen Ausblick über das Siebengebirge und das Rheintal. Inzwischen ist die Aussicht leider ziemlich zugewachsen, das Häuschen erfreut sich bei Wanderern aber immer noch großer Beliebtheit.

Das Gebäude ist im klassizistischen Stil gehalten und erinnert an ein Tempelportal. Im Innern ist eine halbrunde Sitzbank mit Tisch eingelassen. Zum Bau wurden neben Sandstein und Basalt aus nahegelegenen Steinbrüchen auch Abbruchmaterial der Ruine des Klosters Heisterbach verwendet.

Das Foveaux-Häuschen kann über diverse Wanderwege erreicht werden, auch der Fernwanderweg Rheinsteig verläuft hier entlang. Das Gebäude wurde 1969 und 1992 renoviert und steht heute unter Denkmalschutz.
The Ennert is a wooded ridge near Bonn-Beuel, bordering the Siebengebirge. It is considered a local recreation area and is crisscrossed by hiking trails. Among the sights of the Ennert is the Foveaux-Häuschen, a semi-open, historic lookout house.

It was built around 1820 by Heinrich Josef Foveaux from Cologne as a lookout point and rest stop for hikers. It is located in the middle of the forest at about 150 m above sea level above Bonn-Beuel, and then one could actually enjoy a beautiful view of the Siebengebirge and the Rhine Valley. Unfortunately, the view has since become quite overgrown, but the house is still very popular with hikers.

The building is designed in the neoclassical style and is reminiscent of a temple portal. A semicircular bench with a table is integrated inside. In addition to sandstone and basalt from nearby quarries, demolition material from the ruins of Heisterbach Monastery was also used in the construction.

The Foveaux House can be reached via various hiking trails, and the Rheinsteig long-distance hiking trail also passes through here. The building was renovated in 1969 and 1992 and is now a listed building.
