"Declarada Monumento de Interés Histórico Artístico, de estilo Gótico-Mudéjar, se comienza a construir en 1508, finalizándose las obras en 1550, coincidiendo con el abandono del Castillo, y el traslado de la Orden de Santiago a la Casa de la Encomienda.
La construcción se realizó con mampostería, empleándose el ladrillo en numerosas partes del edificio.
El interior es de una sola nave que se divide en tres tramos. La torre actual se levantó en 1556. Está situada a los pies de la Iglesia, tiene planta cuadrada y posee una escalera de caracol semicircular, que sobresale del muro y es por donde se accede al cuerpo de campanas.
La construcción está realizada en su totalidad con ladrillo y argamasa de cal, lo que nos habla de la implicación de mano de obra morisca, muy presente en estas tierras.
En su interior y si nos fijamos podemos encontrar grandes atractivos, cómo las imágenes de sus bóvedas, la lápida funeraria de origen romano, la imagen de la Virgen del Rosario, pues es la más antigua de la Iglesia.
En su exterior tiene alojados a unos amigos muy queridos por los Alangeños, los vencejos.
En Alange podemos ver los cinco tipos de vencejo ibérico y muestra de su importancia es la realización del Festival de los Vencejos en el Mes de Mayo".

The construction was built with masonry, with brick used in numerous parts of the building.
The interior has a single nave divided into three sections. The current tower was built in 1556. Located at the foot of the church, it has a square floor plan and a semicircular spiral staircase, which protrudes from the wall and provides access to the bell tower.
The construction is made entirely of brick and lime mortar, which speaks to the involvement of Moorish labor, which was very present in these lands.
Inside, if we look closely, we can find significant attractions, such as the images on its vaults, the Roman tombstone, and the image of Our Lady of the Rosary, the oldest in the church.
Outside, it houses some beloved friends of the Alangeños: the swifts.
In Alange, we can see all five types of Iberian swift, and the Swift Festival in May is a testament to its importance."
