Briscoe Center for American History"William Benjamin Bloys (1847-1917) was a Presbyterian minister from Tennessee and founder of the Bloys Camp Meeting Association. From 1879 to 1888, he set up churches around Coleman, Texas, before moving to Fort Davis, Texas. There he continued preaching and also set up the Cowboy Camp meeting, which became the Bloys Camp Meeting Association after his death.
