Carved into the stone surrounding the base is the following...
THIS FOVNTAIN ERECTED BY EVGENE HELEN GAGE IN LOVING MEMORY OF HER FATHER ROBERT RVSSELL GAGE AND HER MOTHER HANNAH JANE GAGE ^ 1927 ^
There also are four brass/bronze turtles around the basin, and four swans protruding from the central pillar.
Extending roughly Northward is a multi-tier wading pool that leads to the main garden area.
Unfortunately the area has been 'tagged' and is in need of City maintenance for a good clean up. Hopefully there is money in this year's budget.
Gage park is a rather large city park that features the Hamilton Children's Museum, a large band shell, public greenhouses and a lawn bowling club. Several playgrounds also can be found here.
Hope you enjoy the Waymark Visit!
