Un premier hôtel de ville est construit sur l’emplacement de la mairie actuelle en 1890. L’immeuble est détruit par le feu du 1er décembre 1922. Le terrain n’est nettoyé qu’en 1928, puis l’hôtel de ville actuel est bâti en 1931.

Ce bâtiment de style néo-classique a été rénové en 2015. Il se distingue par son imposant volume rectangulaire, son entrée principale d'inspiration néo-classique, son campanile et son office attenant. Il est également intégré au réseau de parc linéaire qui borde la rivière des Mille Îles, offrant un parterre d'apparat avec vue sur la rivière.

Terrebonne est une ville, chef-lieu de la MRC des Moulins, dans la région de Lanaudière au Québec. Elle fait partie de la banlieue nord de Montréal. Entre 1986 et 2024, sa population s'est accrue de 24 864 à 125 279 notamment grâce à une fusion avec les villes de Lachenaie et de La Plaine. En 2014, Terrebonne a été reconnue dixième ville en importance démographique au Québec.

This city hall is located on Saint-Jean-Baptiste Street in Terrebonne, Quebec.

The first city hall was built on the site of the current town hall in 1890. The building was destroyed by fire on December 1, 1922. The land was not cleared until 1928, and the current city hall was built in 1931.

This neoclassical-style building was renovated in 2015. It is distinguished by its imposing rectangular volume, its neoclassical-inspired main entrance, its bell tower, and its adjoining office. It is also integrated into the linear park network that borders the Mille Îles River, offering a ceremonial lawn overlooking the river.

Terrebonne is a city and the capital of the Moulins Regional County Municipality (RCM) in the Lanaudière region of Quebec. It is part of the northern suburbs of Montreal. Between 1986 and 2024, its population increased from 24,864 to 125,279, notably thanks to a merger with the towns of Lachenaie and La Plaine. In 2014, Terrebonne was recognized as the tenth largest city in Quebec by population.
