Greenville School Free Little Pantry - Marietta, OK, USA - Little Free Pantry on Waymarking.com

This box has a twin at at the Love County Courthouse in town, but there's absolutely nothing to be found online about them. There are probably more. An EF-4 tornado hit Marietta in April 2024, and in the aftermath, there was a shuffling of food pantries that had previously been in buildings that were damaged by the weather. This school closed in 2023, but its cafeteria was converted for just that use. Neither this one nor the one at the courthouse appear on Google Maps Street View (2022 and 2023, respectively), and they were probably added to provide a quick fix for those temporarily in need.

A little white sign on the bottom of one side identifies the box as a "Free Little Pantry". It's made of wood, tan with dark brown trim, on a brown post, with a green corrugated steel monopitched roof. The latch and hinges are like new, while the caulking is a little messy, but the box is here to help people and not be considered for a place at the Louvre.

I may have baptized this one, given that it's like new, but it also could be very popular. It was empty on my visit, so I added a couple of bottles of water and a package of dry ramen noodles.
