The Water of Leith Walkway is a ~20 km (12.5 miles) riverside trail running through Edinburgh, ideal for a peaceful, flat urban hike surrounded by nature. It stretches from Balerno to Leith, with murals, aqueducts, and woodland paths. The route is easy to walk, accessible from many city points, and suitable year-round. Expect birds, bridges, hidden art, and pockets of calm. Great for solo walks, photography, and connecting with the city’s quieter side.

The bridge in focus here can be found and used near Dean Village. It's a truss bridge, made of iron hand having wood beans as pavement. It offers a good vantage point for cool pictures of the area.
