"Darrell F. Harvey, 76, of Troy, Missouri left his earthly home on Saturday, October 19. His loving wife, Marvel Lea (Simpson) Harvey, was at his side at the time of his passing, as she had been for nearly fifty years. Darrell was born on December 20 in Hannibal to Carl I. Harvey and Anna B. (Carlisle) Harvey.
"Darrell is survived by; his beloved wife, Marvel Lea Harvey; his son Mark (Denise); his daughter Marti (Chip); daughter Chris (Mike); daughter Cathy (Stuart); brother David C. (Carol); grandchildren Daniel, Alayna, Landon, Josh, Andrew, Tish (Ryan), Peggy (Ryan), Tony (Christina),Kelsey and many nieces and nephews.
"Darrell’s greatest passions in life were his faith, family, and helping children grow up. He student taught in Knox County, taught in Mendon MO, and worked for the Lincoln County R-III School System. He retired from Troy Middle School with 39 years in education.
