For those unfamiliar with Bumblebee, Wikipedia has quite the
overview. Atlas Obscura (see below) teases the sculpture as "A tribute to one of the most memorable characters from the Transformers movie series" and describes it thus:
"The owner of The Bee Mart, a small gas station in rural Texas, is a big fan of Bumblebee from the popular Transformer movie series. In March 2022, a 20-foot-tall statue of Bumblebee arrived and was hoisted by a crane atop a five-foot-high concrete pedestal next to the gas pumps."
The owner opened The Bee Mart in 2021, with a black and yellow theme inside and a Bumblebee mural on the building, while this Bumblebee sculpture arrived the following year. This is an incredibly popular attraction -- one local told me that it put their little town on the map -- so be prepared for other visitors during peak hours, and occasionally, someone who's not a child will be completely oblivious to the others who arrived before them. Wait them out in your car or come back another day.
The Bee Mart's Facebook page has all kinds of photos, mostly of their incredibly popular smashburgers, as well as some of Bumblebee, even a glimpse before he was assembled. One may visit Bumblebee at any time, while the store itself is open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM, 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. Breakfast is available from 5 AM to 9 AM, and lunch is served from 11 AM to 5 PM. You'll have to see if they sell antacid to pair off with those burgers.
