EN: The Grindel fire department is located in the same building as the municipal administration in the village center. The house is probably a converted farmhouse and where the two garages are today, there used to be a stable and a barn.
The façade is made of wood, as are the garage doors. There are still two windows under the projecting roof.
The organization is now called the Fringeliberg fire department and was formed from the merger of the village fire departments of Grindel and neighbouring Bärschwil. They have two vehicles and around 40 members, but there is no indication of how they are distributed between the two villages.
DE: Die Feuerwehr von Grindel befindet sich im gleichen Gebäude wie die Gemeindeverwaltung im Dorfzentrum. Das Haus ist vermutlich ein umgebautes Bauernhaus und wo heute die beiden Garagen sind, waren vorher der Stall und die Scheune.
Die Fassade ist aus Holz, genauso wie die Garagentore. Unter dem vorragenden Dach befinden sich noch zwei Fenster.
Die Organisation heisst heute Feuerwehr Fringeliberg und entstand aus dem Zusammenschluss der Dorffeuerwehren von Grindel und dem benachbarten Bärschwil. Sie haben zwei Fahrzeuge und etwa 40 Mitglieder, aber wie sie sich auf die beiden Dörfer verteilen, ist nirgends angegeben.
