The rectangular, white marble tablet is mounted on the southern side of the sandstone obelisk outside the local history museum at Morpeth on Swan Street. The following lead-filled inscription is on this Multi-war memorial:

Lest we forget
In Memory of the Fallen
and in Honour of those who served their country
World War II 1939–1945

The sandstone tapered pillar stands on a three-step stone base, and it was unveiled 26 November, 1921 to honour those locals who served in 'The Great War' 1914 - 1919. It was recently refurbished in 2021, as a project from the Community War Memorials Fund. [ex-War Memorial, Morpeth]
