The Municipal Offices for North Middlesex are located here in Parkhill, Ontario. The offices were built around 2014 after the demolishing of the previous town hall which was in the "lawn" area that is there now.
The previous town hall was originally the post office built in 1908. This was given as a swap between Canada Post and the town of Parkhill, as the first town hall was demolished and a new post office built on that site (still there today).
The doors are a nod to the 2nd town hall building, with an NM for North Middlesex above the door.
Parkhill was founded in 1859 with the Grand Trunk Railway passing through between St. Mary's and Sarnia. In 2001, the town was amalgamated into North Middlesex. Ailsa Craig, East Williams, West Williams and McGillivray make up the other townships and villages that we joined into the municipality. Together they have a population of about 6,500.
