Not a typical historical marker but none the less a historical marker. Located 3403 Henderson Blvd. in Tampa, Florida is the location of the very first Outback Steakhouse. It was founded on March 15, 1988, by Bob Basham, Chris T. Sullivan, Trudy Cooper, and Tim Gannon.
With the idea of creating a chain of Australian-themed casual dining restaurants, Outback Steakhouse now serves over 1,000 locations in 23 countries throughout North America, South America, Asia, and Australia.
The historical marker is located in the foyer of the steakhouse.
