Lissendorf is known for its signal tower built when the Eifelstrecke line was constructed in the early 20th century. A 44km track Dümpelfeld–Lissendorf. (

There was a simple little station but there was also a depot with transfer on a branch of the rails behind the signal tower.
The rail ran alongside the depot and railcars could easily be unloaded or loaded. This can still be seen in old photos. (

Today, all rails along the depot buildings have been removed. The old buildings are still there as well as the signal tower which is a German Monument and Museum today.
The little station still remains simple.
