Lissendorf is known for its signal tower built when the Eifelstrecke line was constructed in the early 20th century. A 44km track Dümpelfeld–Lissendorf. (visit link)

There was a simple little station but there was also a depot with transfer on a branch of the rails behind the signal tower.
The rail ran alongside the depot and railcars could easily be unloaded or loaded. This can still be seen in old photos. (visit link)

Today, all rails along the depot buildings have been removed. The old buildings are still there as well as the signal tower which is a German Monument and Museum today.
The little station still remains simple.
