A replica building in a pioneer park north of Hogle Zoo. The water wheel runs periodically and mostly during the summer months. Water is piped up and empties out into a basin that runs over to the wheel and turns the wheel. Wheel and basin are on the back side of the building.

From This is the Place website and sign outside the building:

"Based on the gristmill built in 1850.
Replicated in 1997

The original gristmill was built in Manti City, UT by Danish immigrants. Grist mills used large mill stones to grind down grains like wheat or corn into usable flour. This was essential for settlers to be able to make bread, which was a staple in the pioneer diet of the 19th century."
