EN: This monument stands to the left of the entrance to the church in the village center of Folgensbourg.

It is made of red stone slabs with a black marble cross in the middle and metal palm fronds on the side. It stands on a white stone foundation with a few steps leading up to it. It has two French flags and two bushes on the sides

The inscriptions are scattered all over the monument. Above the central stone is “Pax” and below the marble cross: “La commune de Folgensbourg à ses enfants victimes des deux guerres.” On the left side “1914-1918” and eleven names with the respective ages, on the right side “1939-1945” and twelve names. Five civilian victims are listed at the bottom of the memorial, but not in which war they died.


FR: Ce monument se trouve à gauche de l'entrée de l'église au centre du village de Folgensbourg.

Il est constitué de tables de pierre rouge avec une croix de marbre noir au centre et des palmes métalliques sur les côtés. Elle repose sur une fondation en pierre blanche à laquelle on accède par quelques marches. Sur les côtés, il y a deux drapeaux français et deux buissons.

Les inscriptions sont réparties sur tout le monument. Au-dessus de la pierre centrale, on peut lire « Pax » et sous la croix de marbre : « La commune de Folgensbourg à ses enfants victimes des deux guerres ». Sur le côté gauche, « 1914-1918 » et onze noms avec leur âge respectif, sur le côté droit, « 1939-1945 » et douze noms. En bas du monument, cinq victimes civiles sont mentionnées, mais pas au cours de quelle guerre elles ont perdu la vie.

Es besteht aus roten Steinplatten mit einem schwarzen Marmorkreuz in der Mitte und metallenen Palmwedeln an der Seite. Es steht auf einem Fundament aus weissem Stein, zu dem ein paar Stufen hinaufführen. An den Seiten hat es zwei französische Fahnen und zwei Büsche

Die Inschrifetn sind über das ganze Denkmal verteilt. Über dem mittleren Stein steht "Pax" und unter dem Marmorkreuz: "La commune de Folgensbourg à ses enfants victimes des deux guerres." Auf der linken Seite "1914-1918" und elf Namen mit dem jeweiligen Alter, auf der rechten Seite "1939-1945" und zwölf Namen. Unten auf dem Denkmal sind noch fünf zivile Opfer aufgeführt, aber nicht in welchem Krieg sie ums Leben kamen.
