The cemetery was originally known as the Arnprior Cemetery. When the cemetery was first established, this location was described as lot 4, concession 14, McNab township, Renfrew county. The city of Arnprior is responsible for two cemeteries: Albert Street and the Malloch Road Cemetery. This cemetery began as the place for Protestant burials. The Malloch Road Cemetery originally served the Catholic families of the community.
