"Cette église catholique romaine est située sur le Chemin du Richelieu à McMasterville, Québec.

Suite à la fondation de la ville par la Canadian Explosives Limited en 1917, le 31 juillet 1917 voit la fondation de la paroisse Sacré-Cœur-de-Jésus par M.le curé Chaffers.

En 1922, la paroisse achete un terrain pour bâtir l’église.

La construction de l'église débute le 9 juin 1924, selon les plan de l'architecte Azade-Dionis Désilet (1884-1964). Elle se poursuivra jusqu'en 1932.

L'église Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus constitua le premier bâtiment officiel de la paroisse du même nom qui fut fondée en parallèle de l'incorporation municipale de McMasterville. Elle fut également agrandie en 1951 afin d'y construire la sacristie".

In 1922, the parish purchased land to build the church.

Construction of the church began on June 9, 1924, according to plans by architect Azade-Dionis Désilet (1884-1964). Construction continued until 1932.

Sacré-Coeur-de-Jésus Church was the first official building of the parish of the same name, which was founded alongside the incorporation of McMasterville. It was also expanded in 1951 to accommodate the sacristy".
