The patricians of the imperial city of Kempten presented are:
von König (also Kunig): Patrician family, later registered in the nobility register of the Kingdom of Bavaria, Georg Matthias von König was the first mayor after the unification of the imperial city and the collegiate city from 1818 to 1824.
von Seuter (also Seutter or Seutter von Loetzen ): Gordian Seuter purchased the town from the Prince-Abbot in 1525 in the "Great Purchase." In 1548, two Seuter brothers (from 1559 Seutter von Loetzen) renounced their citizenship in Kempten, took a private residence there , and retired to their manors. It wasn't until 1610 that the first of their descendants left the Kempten region.
