Ce parc se trouve sur la rue Elgar, une rue située sur l'Île-des-Soeurs de l'arrondissement de Verdun à Montréal, Québec.

Anciennement Parc Elgar, ce parc a changé de nom en 2017, pour honoré Daniel Sergiu Hanganu (1939-2017), célèbre architecte et professeur d'architecture d'origine roumaine, mieux connu sous le nom de Dan Hanganu.

Situé à proximité du centre communautaire Elgar, de la bibliothèque, de l’école de L’Île-des-Soeurs et du boisé du Domaine Saint-Paul, le parc Dan-Hanganu est un lieu privilégié pour s’amuser, profiter des attraits de la nature ou pratiquer des loisirs en plein air.

Verdun est un quartier et arrondissement de la ville de Montréal au Québec. Il est situé sur la rive sud-ouest de l'île de Montréal et borde le fleuve Saint-Laurent, en aval des rapides de Lachine. Verdun est délimité au nord par l'autoroute 15 et le pont Samuel-De Champlain, à l'ouest par le canal de l'Aqueduc et au sud-ouest par l’arrondissement de LaSalle, englobant au passage l'Île des Sœurs. Sa population est de 70 377 habitants en 2021.

This park is located on Elgar Street, a street on Nuns' Island in the Verdun borough of Montreal, Quebec.

Formerly Elgar Park, this park changed its name in 2017 to honor Daniel Sergiu Hanganu (1939-2017), a renowned Romanian-born architect and professor of architecture, better known as Dan Hanganu.

Located near the Elgar Community Center, the library, the Nuns' Island school, and the Domaine Saint-Paul wooded area, Dan Hanganu Park is a great place to have fun, enjoy nature, or enjoy outdoor recreation.

Verdun is a neighborhood and borough of the city of Montreal, Quebec. It is located on the southwest shore of the Island of Montreal and borders the St. Lawrence River, downstream from the Lachine Rapids. Verdun is bordered to the north by Highway 15 and the Samuel De Champlain Bridge, to the west by the Aqueduct Canal, and to the southwest by the borough of LaSalle, which also includes Nuns' Island. Its population was 70,377 in 2021.
