This weathervane has an arrow with a symmetrical design element on the forward part of the vane. The tail end is mostly rectangular with a curved shape to the tail end. This part has the year"1847" on it which is the year that the town was settled. Although it was originally named North Cottonwood, they later changed the name to Farmington.

There is a county library across the street. A community center and park are north across the parking lot. A community swimming pool is to the west of the parking lot.
