"El Centro de Conferencias del Mediterráneo (en inglés, Mediterranean Conference Centre o MCC; en maltés: Dar il-Mediterran ghall-Konferenzi) es un centro de conferencias en La Valeta, la capital de Malta. El edificio fue construido como hospital en el siglo XVI por la Orden de San Juan, y era conocido como Sacra Infermeria.
La Sacra Infermeria fue mandada construir por el gran maestre Jean de la Cassière el 7 de noviembre de 1574, después de un Capítulo General, en sustitución de la ya existente en Birgu. La construcción cvomenzó el mismo año. Fue terminado a finales del siglo XVI. Se desconoce su arquitecto, pero se suele atribuir a Girolamo Cassar.
Estaba destinado a recibir pacientes malteses y extranjeros, así como a proporcionar alojamiento a los peregrinos que viajaban a Tierra Santa. También tenía dos farmacias."

"The Mediterranean Conference Centre (MCC; Maltese: Dar il-Mediterran ghall-Konferenzi) is a conference center in Valletta, the capital of Malta. The building was built as a hospital in the 16th century by the Order of Saint John and was known as the Sacra Infermeria.
The Sacra Infermeria was commissioned by Grand Master Jean de la Cassière on November 7, 1574, after a General Chapter, to replace the existing one in Birgu. Construction began the same year. It was completed in the late 16th century. Its architect is unknown, but is usually attributed to Girolamo Cassar.
It was intended to receive Maltese and foreign patients, as well as to provide accommodation for pilgrims traveling to the Holy Land. It also had two pharmacies."
