This cave wouldn't be of such importance if it hasn't been home for humans for dozens of thousands of years. It's located in Iraqi Kurdistan, not far from the border with Iran.

It might not be impressive as a cave, from the speleology perspective, but this cave is one of the most important places in the world when it goes to paleoanthropology, more specifically to the study of Neanderthals.
Only way to reach the place is by driving. There is a proper tarmac road with a nice wide parking area by the end of it. There you will find a panel with information about the cave and from there it's just walk uphill, about 300 meters.
The cave itself it's just a gallery.
