[FR] "Le Mont Faron est une montagne surplombant la ville et la rade de Toulon, en France. Il culmine à 584 m. À son sommet se trouve un mémorial dédié au Débarquement allié de 1944 en Provence (Opération Dragoon) et à la libération de Toulon.
On peut atteindre le sommet soit par téléphérique depuis Toulon, soit par une route étroite et escarpée qui monte par l'ouest et descend par l'est. Cette route est l'une des étapes les plus difficiles des courses cyclistes annuelles Paris-Nice et du Tour Méditerranéen.
À proximité du sommet se trouvent le sanctuaire Notre-Dame du Faron et un zoo d'une superficie de 1,5 hectare."
[EN] "Mont Faron is a mountain overlooking the city and roadstead of Toulon, France. It is 584m high. At its peak is a memorial dedicated to the 1944 Allied landings in Provence (Operation Dragoon), and to the liberation of Toulon.
The top can be reached either by cable car from Toulon, or by a steep and narrow road which ascends from the west side and descends on the east side. The road is one of the most challenging stages of the annual Paris–Nice and Tour Méditerranéen bicycle races.
Near the summit there is Notre-Dame du Faron Sanctuary and a zoo which covers an area of 1.5 hectares."
