"The church we know today has a portal with a niche inscribed on its patron saint, Saint Pedro González Telmo, also known simply as Saint Telmo. The enormous central window dominates the façade, which is topped by a stone cross. The bell towers have clocks and the entire façade is covered in tiles. It has a single nave and a relatively modest interior. At the back, facing the river, the Cross of the Order of Christ and a tile panel depicting Prince Henry the Navigator give voice to the tradition that he was one of the members of this ancient institution."
