Koya is a small town in Iraqi Kurdistan and its main landmark is the fortress, built by the Ottomans in the middle 19th Century. Nowadays the place is like a museum and by its gate there is a cannon with a plaque in English, Kurdish and Arabic saying: Wasta Rajab's Cannon (1818) Remade by Fazil Shawro (2017).
