This old arrow sign and winged roof service station building has remained from he heyday of travelers along Rt. 66.

The station building has the classic large angled windows. Over the are where he gas pumps would have been is the original winged style roof to protect service station attendants or customers from the sun and elements. According to web searches this is a former Champlin Gas Station.

The arrow sign out front has survived and may have at one time actually been an illuminated arrow possibly with neon. These large arrow types lured travelers and were meant to draw their attention as they traversed the country in the days of the open road and family vacations by car.
