The South Mountain Scenic Overlook is on Highway 65, a few miles southeast of Marshall. There is a large pull out here, with room for sevearl cars, and there is even a rock shop with an espresso bar here. This Orientation Table is on the west edge of the parking area and allows visitors to identify the various geologic features visible to the west and southwest. Identified on the table are Bryan Mountain, McCutchen Gap, Point Peter, Buffalo National River, and Boat Mountain.
