[EN] The Protestant temple of Angers is a religious building located rue du Musée in Angers. The parish is a member of the United Protestant Church of France. This is the former Saint-Éloi chapel of the Saint-Gilles du Verger priory, then the minor seminary.

In 1849, the city of Angers entrusted the old chapel of the Saint-Gilles du Verger priory to the Protestant community. The first service was celebrated on October 20, 1850 and presided over by Adolphe Monod. In 1877, the architect Charles Demoget built the current entrance door and vestibule in neo-Romanesque style.

The chapel is representative of the beginnings of the Plantagenêt style, also called Angevin Gothic, a period of transition in Anjou between Romanesque and Gothic architecture. It is still mainly Romanesque, with its thick walls, its two cubic bays and its very splayed semi-circular bays. The ribbed vaults were rebuilt in the 15th or 16th century.
