Bergen Cathedral (Bergen Domkirke) has a bell tower located at the western end of the church. The current tower replaced an older tower in the nave. The cathedral, which houses a unique art collection, is a basilica with a tall central nave and two lower aisles. It is one of the few parish churches in Norway with two towers on the western façade.
The cathedral dates from the 12th century and is in the Gothic style and has been subject to several sieges and reconstructions.
