What's special about this place - besides the amazing breakfast - it's its connection to the Kurdish militias which fought fiercely the advance of ISIS into Iraqi Kurdistan back in 2015. In fact a good share of the profits generated by the venue is handled to the families of deceased fighters. So it's like a veterans associations, in a way.
The walls are fully decorated with pictures of the martyrs and most of the customers are somehow connected by the past war. It's fully open to the general public though and quiet a popular venue for breakfast oin Duhok.
It's a first rate breakfast, served in huge circular trays with crazy portions. Highly reccomended.
