AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) -- Ware's Folly, a 200 year old house on Telfair Street is home to The Gertrude Herbert Institute of Art.

Board President for the Institute Gould Hagler said, "We help the community by going into area schools that don't have an arts program and we provide them with an arts program; we also offer classes."

If you walk through Ware's Folly you'll see art on the walls, a picture of Gertrude, and maybe a ghost.

"Things like footsteps and seeing the train of a woman's dress go around the corner." Hagler said in the last several months staff has mentioned hearing and seeing spirits, starting with footsteps.

"This is where the staff hears the footsteps... it started to make them a little worried that maybe they weren't the only people in this house and they ended calling the police to come over," said Hagler.

Deputies found nothing then, but that's not the only time someone thought a ghost was present.

Hagler said, "A particular bug exterminator was upstairs on the third floor, he was spraying, and he said he felt like something was watching him and he turned around and described a man in a gray-pinned striped suit, and when the exterminator blinked the man was gone."

So to see what's really going on Hagler is bringing in Middle Georgia Paranormal Investigations to take a look.

"They're very excited about coming here, this house is 200 years old, and I think that they believe that they might actually find something," said Hagler.

They'll be investigating on Saturday night, we hope to bring you answers on what exactly they find this weekend.
