This fountain is a central feature in Shar Park, a public garden located in the center of Erbil. It's the most central spot in city, by the Citadel, which is clearly the heart of Erbil.
The fountain has an octagonal shape, with three levels of basins. The inner one has a strong water stream, as the middle one features several minor water streams as the outer basin has even more and smaller water streams.
It's really a great place to visit in Erbil, where one can sit down and observe local people. Not to be missed in the tamarind juice sold by men dressed in traditional clothes.
