The centerpiece of Centennial Plaza is a multi-level red-brick wall that hosts numerous plaques and memorials related to the history of Woodward. Among these is a Time Capsule, a memorial to the 1947 Tornado, and several devoted to the history of the area. Among these is a plaque commemorating the Persian Gulf War. This one is at the east edge of the structure, on the south side. The plaque includes the text below and the image of a soldier garbed in desert gear.
