CC 68 (FH0276) - Sallisaw, Oklahoma - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

This U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey Benchmark Disk was once on the outside wall of the Sallisaw Depot. That building has been repurposed as the Sallisaw Library, and expansion now has the benchmark on an inside wall in the library. The mark is now behind a bookshelf; you might have to move a few books to see it. The remodelers left a viewport in the new wall so that the mark on the old brick wall can still be seen. The disk is stamped with the designation CC 68 and the year 1934.
