"The old town hall building was built at the end of the 15th century and completed in the 16th century. Its original structure was Gothic, although subsequent renovations have meant that virtually none of its medieval essence has survived. The original façade enclosed the three levels of the building with two corridors and a gallery, but renovations and extensions took place throughout the 16th century, giving rise to the current façade, built in the early years of that century.

This opens to the exterior through three loggias with semicircular and segmental arches, the lower one higher than the upper ones, which are closed off with stone balusters. This building once housed the royal prison.

Inside, the former Assembly Hall stands out, located on the main floor, where the coats of arms of the city's most important noble families can be seen. Currently, the building, which is undergoing restoration, is occupied by the city's judges."
