"The Church of San Antonio tells the local story through its architecture and the artistic elements within. It dates back to the Christian Reconquista period, which can be seen in its Hispano-Muslim architecture. For example, the color of the façade reflects the custom of the time, which was not to paint the walls with any color, but rather to leave the bricks' own color. Also on the façade, you can see two Doric-style pilasters framing the coat of arms of the Bishop of Málaga, Fray Alonso de Santo Tomás at the time. It is built on a Latin cross plan, with space for the choir at the top of the rear. Inside, you can see Mudejar-style decoration. The main altar area is covered by a system of Baroque-style vaults. The carving of Jesus of Nazareth, venerated in this church, is especially valuable, as is the display case on the altar table where the masks representing the 12 apostles are kept."
